Behind World War II

It was the decade where the foundation had been laid down by the economists to start the new developmental era in their country, It was the beginning of end for the crying of the people who has been defeated in the war, It was the decade where the changes in the financial world took place and also it was the decade where the foundation had been laid down for another World War.

It was 1930-40. America was trying to regain its financial strength. European countries were recovering from World War I. It was hard times for Germany; because they were suppose to clear their international debts (war compensations). Out of 161 banks in Berlin, more than 150 were owned by Jews. Meanwhile the value of the German currency, Reich mark which was tied into international exchange was De-valuated to earth by bankers. Within a month Reich mark was worthless. Inflation was everywhere. The value of 1$ was equal to Trillions of Reich mark. Jews purchased German business for very low price. It was the time where Germans were using Reich mark notes as fuel to cook foods. Burning currency notes as fuel was much cheaper than purchasing wood for burning. Prices of goods and services skyrocketed. It was the time for them to prove their strength by reconstructing there economy. There was a need for strong leader in Germany who is capable of leading the economy. At the time Germany was in the need of the person who is economic mastermind.

In 1930, as an economic mastermind of Germany, Hjalmar Horace Greeley Schacht invented a new bank which was the central bank for all European central banks (including Bank of England). The new bank was called as Bank for International Settlements (BIS). The main objective of establishing BIS was to settle the huge volume of transactions and to settle the huge debts between national governments through the exchange of gold and credit transfers. To avail this facility every government was suppose to open a bank account with BIS. But actually, together with European central banks, Bank of Japan opened an account with BIS. By this BIS was not standing as the bank for European central banks, it became the bank for the Governments involved in World War I.
This was only first step in economic development of Germany. In 1933 Hitler became the chancellor for Germany. As a chancellor, Hitler appointed Schacht as the head of Reich bank (central bank of Germany). As head of Reich bank, Schacht was the German representative in BIS. He was not only the representative, As a German his duty was to bring foreign investments for Germany through BIS. Indirectly he was having influence with the members of BIS (especially Montague Neumann, a friend of Schacht and representative of Bank of England). He was having so much influence where other bankers were not attending BIS monthly meetings if Schacht was not attending. Till 1933, Schacht used BIS to channelize investments from the world to Germany.

After 1933, there were no new investments. Existing investments were renewed annually. By the end of 1939, there was 294 million gold Swiss Francs worth of foreign investments was channelled through BIS.

The next step of Hitler was, when he invaded Austria in 1938, he demanded for gold held in BIS in the name of Austria. BIS transferred 22 tons of gold from Austria’s account to Reich bank account. In March 1939, Hitler occupied Czechoslovakia and demanded for Czechoslovakia’s gold. But, most of the Czechoslovakia’s gold was with the Bank f England (the safest haven). This time Hitler demanded Czechoslovakia’s gold in Bank of England through the officials of the central bank of Czechoslovakia. The officials informed BIS and BIS demanded to Bank of England. Bank of England easily transferred gold to BIS because of Montague Neumann. BIS transferred 6 Million pound worth of gold to Reich bank account. This was just the beginning. After the invasion of Czechoslovakia, Hitler occupied Holland and Belgium and looted nations through BIS. The looted gold was used to pay the dividends for pre-war investments done by England. Remaining gold was used to supply weapons for World War II. When Hitler invaded Poland, the war in Europe broke out. In June 1940 Hitler invaded France. America was seriously watching this. In 1941 America entered war.

Not only BIS, as enemy country, private bankers like Chase bank of America helped Hitler by funding for wars. When the war was over, America retained BIS to help post war reconstructions. The bankers who helped Hitler were trialled and punished.

This is only one of the way how banks can be used for funding wars. Economic scientists are more important than Political leaders. Financial institutions are more dangerous than Political institutions. Without Schacht it was impossible for Germany to reconstruct there economy. In war arms and ammunitions are important. But money is more important for continues supply of arms and ammunitions.

Why I am writing this? Is, Back rout to develop the economy is as dangerous as swallowing poison pill. Germany tried to manipulate the payment of dividends to England for her pre-war (World War I) investments in Germany. But Germany occupied neighbour countries and looted there gold and paid dividends for England.

Another point is when America entered war, huge amount of dollars was spent on wars by manipulating financial system of America.

Where our education system is moving?

Yesterday I heard that our Karnataka govt is going to increase the duration of degree education from 3 to 4 years and engineering course duration from 4 to 5 years by giving the reason of holding the degree pass outs for 1 year.

If it is done, the govt can hold the degree pass outs for only one year. Again it comes for stability. Now every year there are 10,000 students becoming graduates from each university. Among them 3000 are being pumped to job market. The rest 7000 students are joining higher studies. Again after 2 years they will be pumped into job market. But every year the job created is only about 3500 per year. The peoples are remaining unemployed in the process of shifting from one job to another and in the process of getting their first job. If they get there first job, they will be underemployed. There is a huge supply of graduates but no vacancies. If it continues our corporate jobs will be sold for the person paying more bribes like as govt jobs.

Let it be. The other problem in doing this is, already there is a negative voice for some subjects in the degree (Environmental studies, Constitution of India, and so on.......). The reason is these subjects can be understood only be seeing practical examples. Along with that some core subjects like Financial Services, Decision models, is becoming irrelevant for Marketing and H R students. If this continues our students will not be fit either for Marketing/H R/Finance jobs.

The main drawback in our education system is we are not updating our students as per market requirements. It would be worth of studying consumer psychology for marketing students instead of Financial Services. It would be worth of studying human behavior for H R students instead of Decision models. So more and more specialized subjects should be introduced according to their specialization. Anyhow for degree students it is not possible to apply all the things they have studied. If they study something which is relevant, they can apply it when they get the opportunities. For all the employees, the organization where they are going to work is providing training facilities on their work. But who will train on aspects like psychology? Human Behaviour? And so on.........

The degree students have to study the subjects according to their interest (Specialization). If they study according to their specialization, it requires only 2 and 1/2 years for completing their graduation. Then what is the use of making the degree for 4 years by wasting time in teaching irrelevant subjects?

It's Hitler view on Resource Distribution

We all may be of different qualifications but some day the time comes where we have to work to feed ourselves. So our recognition changes to employee. There after people recognize us as the work force, family recognizes as the pillar of the house. In this process of rapid change from unemployment to working our mentality changes from savings to expenditure. The person who has planned to save will also concentrate on spending irrespective of his obligation and responsibility. He forgets about the uncertain life because of his working energy. So he forgets about saving money for the future by excusing himself as this is the age to spend the life in joyful movements. The person who knows the importance of savings will excuse himself as it can be done in the later stage of life.

So, is it wrong to enjoy life in the early age? The answer is “NO” because teenage comes only one time in our life that to short span of life. Then what is wrong in spending? We have to make the balanced distribution of our income for future and present. Then the question arises “HOW”?

The answer is simple, save the money to minimum extent, for example, a person with family working in Metro gets Rs. 10,000/- per month, he can save Rs. 200/- per month. The savings may be small but definitely one day regular savings will be a huge amount which you cannot imagine. If a person getting Rs. 10,000/- does not save for his future, in his hard times he will be in difficult to survive. If he is having his own savings, at least he survives till he get new job.

We the youth imagine that I can live in hard times by suppressing my desires and fulfill my desires after starting earnings. But it is wrong. A man who eats Burger every day is difficult to stick to Ragi balls for few days. For a smoker who smokes a pack in a day is difficult to reduce it for half. That too our mind takes us towards spending more in the hard time of un-employment.

This is the common truth which is known to every educated. We know the importance of savings, how it helps in our future. But how many of us are having a small savings account in the bank for the purpose of savings, doing a small Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) in mutual funds, having a DEMAT account. Most importantly how many of us are having a Life Insurance Policy for minimum sum assured. Let it be, how many have thought of investing and contacted a bank employee for opening a savings account for the purpose of savings, inquired an insurance agent about policies, cross checked the benefit of investing in mutual funds and on shares.

Savings is continues. If your one insurance policy matures, take another policy, or try another way of investing. We may have dream to take a car, but we will think of talking vehicle loan instead of taking it from our savings. Though a person saves to take a car, he will end his savings by taking a car. He will not think of saving further for constructing a house. He will think of housing loan. Savings is endless.

The below is the statement given by Adolf Hitler in his autobiography “MEIN KAMPH”. I may disagree with his acts, but I will agree with some of his thoughts. This is one of them. I read it thrice, and the above is the conclusion which is very relevant to modern (Students) life.

“The rapid change from unemployment to working and vice-verse; the repeated changes in income and expenditure destroy the desire for saving and the realization of a balanced mode of living. The body apparently becomes accustomed to good living in times of plenty and to going hungry in times of need. Even in times of better income, hunger often overthrows every resolve for a future balanced distribution, for, like a continuous hallucination, hunger conjures up before the eyes of its victim visions of a life of abundance and embellishes his dream until such a state of desire is achieved that it puts an end to all self- rejection of once earnings and income permit it. This is the reason why a laborer, as soon as he has found work, forgets to budget intelligently and becomes a spendthrift instead. This even leads to discarding the small household budget, because even here, wise distribution is neglected; in the beginning there may be enough for five days out of seven, later only for three, finally hardly enough for one day, and at last the money is spent on the very first night.”
